Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home's funeral director, Charles A. Castiglia, provides an informational presentation regarding legal, financial, and benefit issues for pre-arranging funerals. Topics include burial, cremation, scattering of ashes, social security, veterans, medicaid, and much more.

Around Thanksgiving in 2008

This program is designed to help those who have lost a loved one deal with the holidays. We offer practical suggestions to cope with the grief associated with this difficult time.

Each family will release a white dove (based on availability). Each person will release a balloon (environmentally friendly), receive a dove ornament, and a booklet on dealing with grief and the holidays. Hospice will be on hand to provide their insight along with a local clergy to offer a blessing. Music and refreshments are also included in this free event.

The “Butterfly Release”

A healing remembrance for those who have
lost a loved one.

Held every August at Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home

Each family is entitled to receive one butterfly to hold and release during the program. There will be music, a blessing, and refreshments. There is no fee for this event, but there will be a donation box available to help defray expenses.
