The Release of the Doves

A holiday remembrance for those who have lost a loved one.

Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 2 PM.

Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
Located at the corner of Camp Rd. & Rte. 5 in Hamburg

This program is designed to help those who have lost a loved one deal with the holidays. We offer practical suggestions to cope with the grief associated with this difficult time.

Each family will release a white dove (based on availability). Each person will release a balloon (environmentally friendly), receive a dove pin, and a booklet on dealing with grief and the holidays. Hospice will be on hand to provide their insight along with a local clergy to offer a blessing. Music and refreshments are also included in this free event.

 This event will be streamed online to view for those who will be unable to attend.

Please make your reservation, Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 4 PM. There is a limited supply of doves, so they will be available based on order of reservations.

The “Butterfly Release”

A healing remembrance for those who have
lost a loved one.

Each family is entitled to receive one butterfly to hold and release during the program.  There will be music, a blessing, and refreshments. There is no fee for this event, but there will be a donation box available to help defray expenses.
